This image was taken in the years when I could still get close enough to see the beach on the right, rather than just cliffs. These days, the viewing platform is set so far back from the edge that visitors can only manage a much more limited view. Again, it seems such a tragedy that Park authorities have taken away from the public yet another slice of Australias natural heritage; a better-placed cantilevered platform could have allowed proper viewing whilst still addressing safety concerns. At least, in this shot, I have captured the location fully on film. It was a brooding and overcast dawn when I visited, but when the sun came up it beautifully lit up the sky with pinks and plenty of drama. The longer exposure of the shot helped capture the turbulence of the water, giving a real sense of the forces that have created such an impressive coastal arch.
